Gombey Warriors is Bermuda’s newest Gombey Troop, formed by experts in dancing and drumming. The group believes in the importance of tradition and is passionate about bringing the community together through culture, art and talent!
Gombey Warriors are committed to ensuring that each member of the Gombey Warrior Troop is knowledgeable about every aspect (from costumes to instruments) and that they understand how to move creatively with the sound of the drums. The focus is also community. The Troop entertained almost every rest home on the island (from Somerset to St. George) over the Christmas/New Year holiday. It was amazing to see the elderly so engaged with the performances, including two seniors, both one hundred years of age! Over the past two months, Gombey Warriors have performed at numerous private events and in neighborhoods all over the island. Many residents shared that they enjoy the original sound and talents that this new group possess.
